Broke - The Documentary
« on: May 11, 2015, 04:52:15 PM »
Broke is on Netflix and is a very interesting look at the lives of sports superstars who often end up bankrupt in spite of multi-million dollar salaries. It was shocking, but not all that different from regular folks who are living beyond their means or paycheck to paycheck. http://espn.go.com/30for30/film?page=broke

Sounds interesting!  I don't know sports but I always love a good documentary!  Unfortunately: no Netflix.  I suspect you're never going to find a larger collection of people with internet but no TV access than a Mustachian forum!

... obviously, lots of Mustachians do have TV, maybe especially Netflix.  But I think the percentage of non-TVed internet users is going to be higher here.

One of the guys featured in that said he was given the advice "you can live like a king for a few years, or you can live like a prince forever".  Which at the "consistently makes an NFL roster or better" end of the income spectrum is quite true.

Been a while since I've seen it or I'd be more specific.
