Invited to Buy Present for Near-Stranger's Baby Shower

I thought I'd seen it all!

Today, I got invited to a baby shower taking place in a Google Hangout. The invitation did not have many words in it, but the links to the gift registries were there!

Oh yeah. In order to get me to play a diaper game, I must have shared a last name with the baby-to-be at some point in my life. It's a rule that has saved me many a time.

At the last baby shower I was forced to attend-one that fit the rules so that I had to play the damn diaper game-all the male people in the house were going mudding that day while the shower was going on. They wouldn't take me with them, despite my begging.

aww man, i like the diaper game.  and the baby food game, and the bottle race game! that being said, wow.  invited to a shower of someone you don't even know.  tacky
