Why?  It's the boat builder who will be paying.

Well..not really I would suggest it is already a sunk* cost!  The ostentatiousness of their luxury product combined with its epic launch failure is just plain funny.  To me at least.

*pun most certainly intended

For 10million I was expecting it to seem more, but it did say it was 85ft long, so probably much more impressive in real life.

I have seen some yachts in the Bahamas that must have cost 25 or 50 mil then.

Be careful, they often don't float much better than top heavy boats!

For a business that could be taking on water, this could be a real anchor to their bottom line.

I almost keeled over laughing on that one.  Thanks!

It looks like the picture only shows the top of the yacht, there's still a bunch underwater in that shot.

Sounds like they'll be a rock bottom priced yacht on the market soon. I mean It has to be worth it to fix it and recoup some of their costs right? right?

Afterwhich they won't be able to ballast their checkbook.

Perhaps a lone shark will be able to float them a loan....as long as it is on the level (of course). Oh buoy, me hopes whatever company takes this on has a star board of directors!

Captain Ottawa likes to submerge himself in his work.

Also, if this thread is about to navigate a narrow channel we'll be in dire straits.  However, if an Egyptian tried to make me sail the long way round I'd Suez canal.
