If a $4,000 Toothbrush Doesn't Make You Happy, Nothing Will

Quote
"The type of client we have in mind and are currently selling to are those with an incredibly high net-worth. People who have their own yachts, people who have their own private jets—it's for people who can spend this amount of money on a product they deem beautiful. And one that doesn't exist on the market elsewhere."

Hard to argue with that kind of logic.

Not on the right track.  I don't want a luxury toothbrush.  I want a dentist's chair in my house where a hygienist will clean my teeth every morning.  Brushing your own teeth is for the poors.

This really is an object of remarkable beauty. As I write these very words, I have the toothbrush sitting directly in front of me—partially because it makes me feel powerful, yes, but it's also just lovely to look at."

That convinced me.....I want to feel powerful when looking at my toothbrush too!

WHAT?!  I'm so confused.  I have so many feelings, but not a single urge to own this toothbrush.

So. $4,000 for a toothbrush and it doesn't even double as a vibrator. No thanks.

Yeah, it's good for now, but what happens when someone comes out with a $5000 toothbrush?

I didn't read any of the posts b/c the topic is too stupid.  Yup, if a 4k tbrush won't make you happy nothing will.  Great post.  Fine use of time.

Ah, good point.  Apologies.  How did I get to that category?  Will be more careful in the future.

Holy Moly.  I have been responding to all sorts of Wall of Shame sheet.  I was thinking "is it Friday and everyone is drunk?"  ..... perhaps as not knowing the day of week as a semi-FIRE.  Good.  Got a decent laugh.  No offenses, I hope.

Heh, sounds like a fun, albeit confusing, evening.  :)

Yeah, it's good for now, but what happens when someone comes out with a $5000 toothbrush?

Or when they come out with the 2G?  Usually it's better to wait for the second generation anyway... more bells and whistles.  That or you can get the prior generation for cheaper.

Sounds like a great buy to me.

Pay $4,000. Happy? If not, then no other purchase will. You can now stop wasting many more thousands on new cars, phones, shoes, watches, etc. Just one non-SUV purchase will save that $4,000 several times over.
