Tales of extreme commuting

Ugh, sounds terrible. Even the oft-used example of a one hour commute sounds peachy in comparison.

I commute anywhere from 3 hours to 2 days, once or twice a month.  Then once I am at work, I stay there between 1-5 weeks.  I walk between where I sleep, and where I work, once I am there.

I wouldn't drive anywhere on a daily basis though.

This is what really got me:

"I've worked out that the travel is exactly the same as the cost of renting in London - so therefore a better option."

How is it a better option to be spending the same amount of money, plus hours of your life every day commuting?

Maybe he values his larger house, more than his time?

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
