Had to share this:   Someone just told me they have a friend who spends $180 PER WEEK making homemade dog food for their one Great Dane.

Too much protein is not even good for Danes, at least not while they're growing.

They like rice, though.

I spend about $25 a week for my 150lbs English Mastiff and that's 1.5 lbs of decent kibble and 1.5 lbs of raw/whole chicken each day. I can't imagine a Dane eating much more and I definitely don't see how you could possibly spend $180 a week. Per month MAYBE for a top quality raw diet.

If it's a raw diet, that dog is eating better steak every day than I do on special occasions.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
