Yahoo e-mail class action

I saw an article in my newsfeed regarding Yahoo! settling a class action suit and don't know if I've unwittingly submitted my email and birthdate to a fraudulent site.  Does anyone know if this is legit?  When I submit the form there is always some sort of error.
