Would you use this tool/website?
« on: February 13, 2017, 04:38:27 PM »
Hey Mustachians,

I'm wanting to build a website that does for others what MMM has done for me. It would be a tool that you type all your finances in a form and it would send it out to 5 financial savvy experts to get their advice. My target audience would be people like you that are always wanting to improve their situation no matter how well they're doing. Would you use this tool/website?

Thanks!

This is not a criticism, just a few honest questions.

How is this different than doing a case study in the case study section now?  Except in the case study section, you usually get a lot more than 5 responses?

Also, what is the motivation for the 5 people who are doing the analysis?  Is it purely out of a desire to help others, or is it to audition to serve as their fee based advisor, or something else?

Also, is it your intention to monetize this for yourself, and if so, how?

To answer your question, I would use this tool/website if

a) it provided fore free something valuable I can't already get here, and

b) I'd even be willing to pay a fair fee if they were so thorough that they could lay out objectively things that could substantially increase my net worth trajectory.  But honestly, it'd have to be really awesome for me to do that.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
