Do you still look for ways to optimize even with a 60%++ savings rate? How have you managed to keep your expenses low?
No, we are happy with our current savings rate and expenses. We buy groceries from the local market to keep expenses low, and only dine out for social events. We have an efficient car (Prius C) that was purchased with cash and haven't paid for cable TV for about a decade. We also have fairly cheap hobbies (running, kayaking, backpacking, etc.).
Do you DIY most things?
Yes, essentially everything we can -- especially car maintenance. We're planning to live on a boat later, so it's useful to learn as many skills as possible.
Have you given up anything that you miss?
