Sol described some of the mountain scenery in Nepal as not part of the normal universe. Never been there, but I know what he means. I have heard that some mountaineers believe that you are not the same person coming down from some sublime peaks than you were going up.
Edit: I forgot the Taj Mahal, Agra, India. Possibly the most beautiful building in the world. If i visited again, I would try to visit about full moon, and book a hotel, and see it at night. I was there on a day trip from Delhi, 1983.
