Union Plus benefits - any good?
« on: May 09, 2016, 11:54:48 AM »
For the first time in my career, I'm now a member of a union. They negotiated that my salary will be 1% higher than expected this year, and they will start charging me 0.965% for the privilege. Yay?

Anyway, their marketing materials make a big deal about discounts through Union Plus:

These are negotiated discounts through the AFL-CIO. This website is full of a lot of consumer junk, but any mustachian union members have tips on new discounts or opportunities I have access to now?

I'm a fellow union brother. I don't think I have used much of the union-plus stuff before. I would also be interested if there are any good deals.

Not to do with that website, but often unions will put on classes which count as continued learning credit class for free for union members.  If you are a union person, that can be a benefit.  Also, many unions have scholarships for Union kids, I got one.
