Travel to Italy?
« on: August 08, 2021, 12:01:28 PM »
Leaving for Italy/France next week.  I am vaccinated and going to get tested 48 hours before departure to be safe.

I am reading about this EU green card that is required to go to certain museums, restaurants, etc. but is only available to EU citizens.

Anyone been to Italy/France lately and can share what it’s like?

I have American citizen friends there now and they said your passport and CDC card together are enough. I guess that could change at anytime, though.

What day are you leaving for Italy? I'm going Thursday!

But anyways yes don't worry, the Italian gov't as well as people I know have confirmed the american CDC card will suffice in lieu of the green pass.

As of today France has introduced requirements for a health certificate (vaccinated, recent -ve test or having recovered from covid) for fairly everyday activites like going to a cafe and taking a train. Not into the details, but prob worth looking into if going there.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
