Hey everyone. I just wanted to report today is the first day in about 13 years that I do not owe Toyota Financial any money. August 2016 we owed 9200 to them. It is an accomplishment for my wife and I. We spent our twenties owing one or two payments a month to them.  I found this forum a few months ago when I decided I was sick of the rat race I currently live in. I'll probably continue to be a lurker, but just wanted to tell someone about our small milestone. :)

Congrats. Now take that monthly payment amount and throw it on the stash. It's awesome to see the snowball roll the other direction and gather size and speed with compound interest.

Thanks everyone. It is a good feeling. We will be using the extra money to knock out 2 small loans. This will leave us with a house note only!

Good job.  Last month I stopped owing Toytota Financial as well.   Before I get face punched for getting a car loan in the first place, it was only 1.8%, so I figured that fell into the catagory of "good" debt.   We also bought the vehicle new, but it wasn't that much more than a used one.  But it feels great not owing.

I can't wait until I don't have that payment anymore. It was originally planned to be done next year but because of other circumstances that has been pushed off, unless other good things happen.
