That looks like a back-breaking project. Oh, wait...

Seriously though, that is a beautiful house.

I have a son in college who rents a cottage 300 sq ft.  He really likes it.  I offered him TV and he refused. Just have the basic stuff at home.   I have a 2000 sq ft house with a lot of clutter and I hate it.  I can't find any tools in the garage.

That is cool!  I've been thinking it would be fun to build something like that someday (will have plenty of time after retiring).  I've recently been keeping a mental log of how much space my girlfriend and I ACTUALLY use in our house (~1000 sq ft.) and garage, and we use a lot less than we have.

House?  Sorry, but it's a travel trailer - see the wheels?  Admittedly a nice handbuilt job, but the same sq ft and appliances could be had off Craigslist for a good deal less.

If you're into this kind of thing, three of my favourite websites are,

Don't let the name of the last one put you off, it is all structural...

Tiny houses are very much houses. There's a very good reason that many of them are trailer-built.

I love, love, love that house, and have been house-crushing on it for a couple of months.  It's only a couple of hours from me--I need to see if she would mind a visitor :)

If there is a good reason, what is it?  After all, you could (at least in theory) build any size house on a trailer, or trailers.  Consider that there are fairly sizeable modular houses that are factory-built and hauled to their permanent location on a series of trailers.

What exactly do you think differentiates a trailer-built 'tiny house' from a travel trailer?

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
