I'm a TurboTax user.  Can I upload my 2012 return to this site like you can with TurboTax?  Or do I have to start from scratch?

I would take a look at the site. You just have to fill in all the boxes and your taxes are done. It will save your  data, so I doubt you can upload (yet). It is just very logically laid out. I really enjoyed using it.

They do their best to optimize your return, but obviously you need to pay attention.

I use StudioTax for my filings.  It's also completely free software, and I seem to get the same tax refund from it that I do from uFile and TurboTax.

I use StudioTax too. Free, pretty straightforward, and I can add other forms as needed. It can import last year's data, too.

Another vote for StudioTax.

I cross-check by entering the data into some of the online calculators; results are the same.

I see that SimpleTax will allow you to add T5 data, however, it doesn't grok the T5008, offering instead suggestions on how to enter the data elsewhere. StudioTax does have specific fields for T5008 data.

Another vote for Studio Tax, it's a nice little piece of software that is easy to use and e-file with.
