The Fisherman's Wife

I am a huge admirer of Sam Weber's artwork.  One piece that I lover but never understood was one titled "The Fisherman's Wife", so in the pursuit of better understanding I googled it and found a Grimm fairy tale I had never come across before.  I'm sure many of you have heard it before, but I thought it seemed very appropriate to share here.
