So, turns out we have termites in our house. I saw one with wings on a window screen and we got an inspection. The guy recommended a heat treatment of our attic plus a radar detection scan to make sure they are gone. Also they'll drill into the wood and inject a pesticide into the wood. All this will cost $2200.
Then he also found some damage to wood to our outside eve's because of mold. He said they would fix that for another $1600. They have to go up on the roof and remove some tiles to do the work and they will replace the tarp under the tiles they remove.
So this seems like a lot of money to me but this is the first time I'm dealing with this sort of thing.
Has anyone dealt with termites or the damage and have advice on how to deal with it?
