I just signed up for Arcadia Power who matches your monthly electricity usage and purchases renewable energy certificates from wind and solar farms to be placed on the grid.  Essentially, this is the equivalent of saying all of your electricity usage in your home comes from renewable sources.  They charge a $0.015 premium on each kWh used for the service, which for me equals out to about $6.81/month.

This seems like a somewhat high hike in the cost of my electric usage, but you get a $30 credit for signing up and $30 credit for each person you refer.  Please use the below hyperlink to sign up if you are interested, and feel free to post your own on this thread.

it's down to a $25 credit now for premium accounts.

Rather than pay anything though, you could just sign up for a free account and they'll buy 50% of renewable wind energy credits. Free $5 for the free account.

They must be selling the electricity usage data because otherwise I don't understand how they make money off the free accounts or why they would offer $$ for free referrals.

The current offering is not a very good investment. Put in $100, get $1 in credit per month for 120 months. In order words, it takes 8.5 years to get your investment back....
