Seattle Mustachians... Long-term parking idea?
« on: September 05, 2018, 03:50:40 PM »
Hello gentle Mustachians!  I live in Seattle and FIRE'd back in Jan... and my family and I are going to Europe for a couple months.  We are looking for a cheap/free place to park our beloved 2006 Honda Odyssey.  Any ideas?  Perhaps in front of your non-zoned home in exchange for some beer?

Peace!

Make a friend with someone who will park it in Naval Station Everett, or Joint Base Lewis-McChord long term lot. It's free, monitored (kinda), and you can do all the mothballing preps necessary to keep your car safe during months of downtime.

If all else fails speak to a nice church about making a donation and also parking in their lot.  Not related of course, by IRS guidelines...

Public Storage (self storage) advertises vehicle space for $99/mo, first month for $1 right now. Seattle area.
