Someone put me out of my misery, I can't remember the name of the rule/law about how spending changes when you income changes.

I think it starts with a "H" but cant seem to quite remember what the word is.

Agreed, especially because it's not just with spending - it's with every situation.  We adapt and get used to the new "normal" - awareness of this can really shape how you approach things, in my experience.

Yup, with this concept I still can't wait to get a raise or bonus, but I know that 100% of it will go straight to investments, so it doesn't affect my spending one bit.
