Returning to school. Best Student Discounts?
« on: August 25, 2018, 08:21:20 PM »
I am returning to graduate school after being in the workforce for 7 years. One of the nice perks about being a student again is all of the student discounts that are out there. Since it has been so long since undergrad, I lost track of all the ones offered. Any nice ones you would suggest? This could be a useful reference for future returning students as well.

So far, I just added Amazon Prime Student and free Microsoft Office.

I know that in my town students get free or discounted admission to the museums around. You Need a Budget is also free for students, and Spotify is 50% off for all students. My gym also has a student discount. Those are a few of the ones that I have taken advantage of so far. Also, check with your school if you actually go to a physical location. The state school near my place gives free rentals for mountain bikes, kayaks, stand up paddle boards, climbing gear, etc. to all students.

Ski passes are ridiculously cheap for students.  You need to be a skier and close to a ski area and have time to ski though in order for this to be helpful.
