Before MMM, I probably would never have even opened this mail, but it was about lower electricity rates.
Since I just discovered the extent of my super un-mustachian electrical ways, and am rectifying them, I was intrigued.
Looks like due to some new laws in my state, one can choose to change their electricity supplier. I have ComEd, who will still maintain and bill me, but I can choose Constellation to be the supplier. They are offering to lock me in to a rate of 6.25 cents per kwh.
I looked up my charges over the last two years. For a few months in the summer, it is 6.7 c/kwh, and the rest of the year closer to 8. My last bill was 8.1. Plus they are offering a 25$ visa cash card for joining (and staying a few months)
and have a referral program.
My link is
https://home.constellation.com/?by=0BKVCand I do get another 25$ credit for successful new customers.
