I had to boot up in Win 7 in order to ask my question. When I'm using Win 10, I get a message  about there is no one with that username.
How do I fix this, or does someone need to fix it on the other end?

Install Win 10 again.  For best results, have no internet access when you create your first Windows 10 user account.

I appreciate the input, but why would I not have any trouble with a dozen or more other password protected forums/sites, and need a new install of Windows 10 for MMM.
If I was tech savy, I would do that, but I was lucky to do a download and install on an empty drive, I know nothing about an install after I have dozens of programs up and working.

I obviously misunderstood your question. It looked like you were having trouble logging into Windows!

To recap... you've got both Windows 7 and Windows 10 installed on a computer.
You can log into https://forum.mrmoneymustache.com/ under Windows 7, but not Windows 10.

1. Are you using a password manager?
2. What browser(s) are you using?
3. Do you have any (different) add-ons between different browsers?
4. Does Windows 10 somehow default to CAPS LOCK ON when it boots?

I missed that you had 7 and 10 on the same machine.

I wonder if two different logins from the same computer is confusing the website or something? logout of 7, clear cookies, try to log in from 10?

I vaguely recall something similar when helping a friend with his a couple years back. As I recall the answer was to leave the fields blank and hit continue. I remember being stumped for awhile because I assumed not entering a password wouldn't be an option.

Edit: I completely misunderstood the question. I thought you were having issues with your initial Windows login on boot. I did think it was odd choosing MMM as your tech consultant lol. Oops

  • Still kickin', I guess.
Quoting myself from the other thread, not necessarily for @BTDretire but for anyone else who might come across this thread with the same problem in the future and not the other. I know there have been more than a few forum members who've changed their display names since initially signing up.

Tried logging using Chrome (normally Firefox) It did not work! I got the same,
"This username does not exist"

I think I know what your problem is, *cough* Qmavam... your display name is not your account username. I can't log into my account with the display name of Daley, either. ;)
