Not really financially focused, but I really enjoy Tim Ferriss.

Occasionally listen to Mad Fientist.

Financial only?  I'll assume so, since this isn't in Off Topic.  So posting partially to follow, because I haven't found great ones. I listen to ChooseFI about half the time (depending on topic) on 1.7 speed.  Most (of their episodes with guests as well as other FI or similar podcasts I've tried) I find rather unctuous or grandiose, not to mention very redundant topic- or theme-wise, after a while.  I really liked ChooseFI's interview with Big ERN and, while I don't necessarily think he needs to start (the 5,000th!) podcast in this realm, maybe a short series would be better.  In fact, I think most of these podcasters doing short series focusing on their particular niche/expertise would be awesome, instead of permanent podcasts that they have to scrape for content for, where they all just interview each other week after week.  Although of course, that's how you make money and/or build a business, so good for them.

I certainly haven't tried them all though, so perhaps there are some that are better than others.

I listen to probably like 25 hours of podcasts per week, so I've gotten really picky lately, but it's also definitely one of my favorite forms of info-tainment.

Here's my current podcast list.

Freakonomics Radio
By Steve Dubner, one of the authors of the popular Freakonomics books. If you like those books, you'll like this podcast.

Art of Manliness
AOM is a long-running blog, ostensibly about being a better man. In reality, these articles, and now podcasts, apply equally well to all homo sapiens, not just males. Recent topics have included: The renegade WW2 pilots who helped win the war in the pacific, The importance of building your social capital, How Jesuit spirituality can improve your life.

Smashing Security
A podcast about computer security, but the hosts discuss all kinds of related (and nearly related) issues. The show is usually pretty funny, and I frequently look up things I first heard about on this podcast.

intelligence squared debates
A formal debate format. Each week there is a topic, and two teams take opposite sides. Opening arguments, rebuttals, and Q&A from the audience. Then the audience votes, and one side wins. Recent topics have included: Do we need God less the more we evolve?, Does humanitarian intervention do more harm than good?, Have dating apps killed romance?

WorkLife with Adam Grant
A podcast about organizational management, by a recent popular author. Honestly, I don't think this podcast is very interesting. I think it's all pretty basic stuff that has been well-covered elsewhere. I'll give it a couple more episodes and remove it if it doesn't get better.

Car Talk
Do yourself a favor and get this one. I listen in the car on my commute, and I'm laughing so hard I can't see the road through my tears.

The Planner and the Geek
Vanguard's new podcast about personal finance issues. They have only produced two episodes so far, and I would say the hosts are still getting accustomed to the medium. I have great hopes for this one, though. I'm hoping it gives us a lot of inside information on Vanguard, it's funds, little-known tips and tricks, etc.

Mad Fientist
Needs no introduction. Brandon has one of the top blogs in the personal finance sphere, and he interviews plenty of other top thinkers in the industry.

Rich Roll Podcast-Rich is an alcoholic turned ultra endurance athlete turned health and spirituality advocate. It can sometimes veer into the woo woo, but mostly is just great wisdom and living a fulfilled and purposeful life. The guests he has on are often amazing and really diverse. Easily my favorite and most listened to podcast.

Tim Ferris-Just because it's fun.

Joe Rogan-Great MMA guests, Joe is generally funny.

Michael Gervais-Has on world class athletes and performers, who he delves into the background and philosophy of.

I don't care about the MMA guests, but I think Joe Rogan has established himself as one of the best interviewers out there.  He's good.

Definitely.  And he has a really wide ranging intellect which I like.

Him and Tim Ferriss imo ask the best questions.

I like Joe, knew him from an MMA forum and met him in person WAAAY back in the day after the second Tito/Shamrock fight. Super cool guy and a LEGIT BJJ player which he downplays. I like his show, you can tell he does a lot of research online about things, but when an actual expert in a field is on he backs off and stays in his lane. Mark of maturity.

My two favs on one podcast:

To everyone posting podcasts: it would help if you could tell us a little about each one. Why do you listen to it? What do you like about it? From the title alone, I can't tell if it's something I should check out.

One other that I would recommend not finance related is the waking up podcast by Sam Harris. It can get political, but often times he has some great philosophical discussions with his guests.

A list of podcasts I listen to regularly:

Personal Improvement?
Tim Ferriss (great guests and a wide range of topics) [High profile guests share what they think makes them great at what they do. Cool insights. I think Ferriss has become a very good interviewer and can really get guests to open up. I have to be in the right mood because it can be heavy, but when I listen I always wonder why I waited so long. Probably the most insightful podcast I listen to]

Finance / Business
Stacking Benjamins (+ Money in the Morning) [light finance good banter, Money in Morning is just discussion of headlines]
Planet Money (+ Planet Money Indicator) [news but presented with an economics spin. Since everything is driven by money, kind of cool. Indicator is the short version of the podcast < 10 mins each]
Freakonomics Radio [great, thought provoking content. Good interviews. Great production value]
Business Wars (looks at competition between companies like Marvel vs. DC) [Tells the "story" behind the rise of companies like Netflix, Adidas / Nike, Marvel / DC. Builds good narrative]
Afford Anything [I like the question / answers and she has some good guests on. At first I liked Paula better as a guest on Stacking Benjamins.]
Mad Fientist [I find these to be hit and miss, but the good ones are good. His blog posts are probably more useful, but getting similar info from different perspectives is good.]

History / Politics
Hardcore History (Dan Carlin) [I used to dislike history in school. Carlin is awesome at bringing it to life and focuses on interesting times in military history]
Common Sense (Dan Carlin) <-- Not sure what his plans for this are. Hasn't been one in a while, but that's not uncommon for Carlin [I feel like he's not partisan (i.e. logically dislikes things about both parties). That seems to be in short supply these days. Sadly, he hasn't done one in a while]
Radiolab: More Perfect [Looks at important supreme court decisions. This was cool for me as an immigrant (from Canada) to the US as I'm ignorant to most US history. I think it's fascinating to see the unintended consequences of past decisions that were made with the best of intentions]
Pirate History Podcast [Not as good as Hardcore History, but it's been following Pirate history across generations so far. Also has a regular release schedule (unlike HH)]

Science (includes some great ones I listen to with my kids)
Radiolab [Takes cool information and makes great stories out of them. Almost always an interesting topic told in a cool way]
TED Radio Hour [Weaves together common themes from multiple TED speakers with interviews. I find it educational and often inspiring]
WOW in the World [kids] [One of the hosts is the TED host. Great intro to some cool and cutting edge science. Told in an accessible and fun way. My kids favorite podcast...but all of those listed below are good too]
Brains On [Kids] [This was the first kid's science podcast we listened to. Very good. Cool topics. Love the "mystery sound" and they read our kids names on an episode for the "Brains Honor Role")
But Why [Kids] [Similar to Brains on, but no mystery sound.]
Tumble [Kids] [Similar to Brains on, but no mystery sound.]

Other
Serial (true crime?) [great story (especially the first season)]
Up and Vanished (true crime) [captivating case. Tried to model after Serial S1 I think. Takes a few episodes for the production value to get up to speed. gets crazy about half way through...but don't want to spoil it]
Crime Town (true crime) [cool story about corruption in politics]
Homecoming (fiction) [I hope to find more good fiction podcasts if anyone has any recommendations. This one was pretty gripping and cliff hanger-y]
Twice Removed (AJ Jacobs, canceled though) [I like AJ Jacobs. He's a likeable host and the genealogy idea was cool. Not a lot of episodes]
Tell me something I don't know (Dubner from Freakonomics) (Science-y Game Show?) [Live recordings where audience members tell the audience cool stuff and they vote to see what's the coolist]

Sports
Terrible Podcast (Steelers) [Best Steelers podcast I've found. Took a while for it to grow on me, but it's in depth and regular release schedule]
The Leaf Report (Maple Leafs) [Quality Leaf reporting from the Athletic. I don't subscribe to their site, so I get some of their insight for free here]
The Steve Dangle Podcast (Maple Leafs, but wide ranging from general NHL to Pokemon) [Good banter between hosts. They do talk hockey a bit too.]

As requested edited to add more info. [why I like it in square brackets]

OT but I'd appreciate some help -

I just got a new Android smartphone.  I downloaded TuneIn and entered some podcast and radio station as Favorites.

Not TuneIn will not allow me to add more Favorites.

Does anyone who uses TuneIn on Android know how to let me add to my Favorites list?  Is there a setting I haven't been able to find?

This isn't covered on the Help section of TuneIn's website.  I did send them an email.

Thanks for your help!

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
