Origins of the Low Information Diet.
« on: November 03, 2015, 05:53:17 AM »
Does anyone know the origins of the concept of the low information diet?

I thought it was Tim Ferriss in "The 4 Hour Work Week."

I did a Google search and it does seem that it was originally from Tim Ferriss "4 hour work week", but I did see a site called lowinformationdiet.com that has a seminar that you pay money to do.  It actually did look kind of interesting, but of course I'm not going to pay for it.

Thanks for posting this.  Now I have something else to read about!  I probably need this because I think I suffer from information overload.  I read a lot about a lot of things, but they never seem to sink in.

But even Ferris in one of his blogs or podcasts referenced where he got it from.  Don't recall however, sorry.

I guess I didn't realize this concept had an official title and all. To me, it's just common sense. If you don't know about it, you can't worry about it! So all things non-essential to my life or job (especially careful at work), I try really hard not to listen in on.

MMM has a post about this too.

I actually kind of follow this as I don't watch the news anymore because mostly it is about robberies, murders, fires, and things I have no control over.
