Ordering contact lenses from the UK
« on: January 12, 2018, 01:00:52 PM »
I can't order from a US supplier without a "valid prescription" -- less than 2 years old.  I'm well aware of the value of eye exams.  But after 40 years of managing my own eyes, even through some serious problems, I'm confident I can live without spending an extra hundred bucks on an exam right now, just so I can buy more lenses.

I'm looking at visiondirect.co.uk

Any better ideas?  I haven't even looked at Canada.

Be careful you're not pennywise and poundfoolish. There are a variety of issues that can happen that have no symptoms, but can cause serious damage.

I think ypu could get an exam every other year and order from UK everyother year. I have had a corneal ulcers once from over use of contacts,  but if you fo not over use the contacts and water your glasses say every other day, then I bet ypu will be fine. You can always see a US based  opthamologist if you run into problems.
