Opportunity vs Comfort

I’ve been thinking a lot about opportunity vs comfort - Do you worry that your learning, career and connections are stagnating, by choosing the more comfortable option?

I really don't think it's so black and white.  There are way too many variables to give a fair answer.

Even if your "Opportunity" option isn't as comfortable, it still offers some comfort.

Even if your "Comfort" option doesn't have as much opportunity, there are always some opportunities.

It sounds like you want to live in the city, but also like the idea of living in the country.  That's fine.  Why not just rent an AirBnB Cabin for a weekend every other month?

It's hard to give a real answer without living in your shoes.

Last thing - Your living location won't cause stagnation.  You are perfectly capable of stimulating your mind no matter where you live.  If you stagnate, it was an choice (conscious or unconscious) and you can choose to break out of the funk.
