I THINK I used erockrazor's link......didn't see any confirmation during checkout or any kind of verbiage that would confirm that a referral was used.  Is this normal?

Their website says that an email will be sent to you when somebody uses your referral, and after they keep the plan after 30 days you will receive a credit. - first in FAQ section https://community.republicwireless.com/docs/DOC-1591

I haven't received an email. Maybe it takes a little time?? I also didn't have any confirmation when I used countrabandits link.

I am in the same boat as FinallyAwake. I clicked on a number of the links people posted here and it led me through the standard Republic "buy our phones and choose a plan" process and on to checkout, with absolutely no indication that there was any discount being applied. Either all the links are no longer working or Republic needs to reconsider their user signup experience. Holding off on signing up as if there are actual functioning promo codes, I'd like to use them.

That's strange, I tried clicking on one of the links and it worked for me. Maybe there was a glitch that has been fixed?

@ FinallyAwake: you should still be able to get the credit if you email their customer service explaining what happened.

Poirot -- sorry, but in what sense did a referral link work for you? I tried G3's link, which an earlier poster said worked and here's what I saw:
* It opened up a window to Republic's "what phone do you want?" page.
* I choose two phones and then clicked on "Plans and Checkout." The costs for the phones were listed, with no indication of any discount.
* I chose a plan for each phone. The updated costs were listed, again with no indication of any discout.
* I said no to accessories and finally got to checkout, still no indication of a discount.
* I entered all the info they asked for, including credit card -- still no indication of a discount.
* I stopped at the "Verify" step as I believe that clicking "Verify" would charge my card, again with no indication of a discount.

Everything that shows up after clicking someone's referral link is exactly the same as I got when just going straight to the Republic site with no referral link. I see no indication that I'll be getting any sort of benefit from that link, so I didn't complete the transaction.

I started using Republic Wireless a week ago, and it has been wonderful so far. Seamless phone calls with wireless and good transitions between AT&T's network and wireless connection. I went off of my sister's recommendation, and I would strongly recommend signing up.

That's really strange that it's not working for you, Zotster1958. I just went to checkout and the green box appeared on the right. I definitely didn't have to enter my credit card info for it to come up. Have you tried contacting their customer service about it?

After running into multiple complications myself trying to find a Republic Wireless promo code to save $20 (ultimately not finding one on this forum at all), I decided to try this post as a possible solution.

Got my phone on Friday, used a referral code from here but haven't seen anything about it. I'll probably send them an email....What I will say is that I'm inpressed with the phone so far.  I'm going from several iPhones, latest being the 5 and this thing is just as good in my opinion...And I'm very picky.  I'm dong a 30 day trial before completely switching, but so far so good!

That is strange because I keep getting hits from this thread, as recently as this month.  I have yet to pay a RW bill and have several more months of credits.

However, RW is discontinuing the referral program effective Oct 31, 2014.  They have not announced what (if anything) is going to replace the current referral program.

Their website forum says the program's been retired and no new referals will be accepted.

A small word of caution for those wanting to keep their number - your number once ported to Republic will show as a VOIP or landline to certain providers ( Cricket is one ) and as such you may not be able to port out from cricket.
