a friend lives in nyc.
someone hit his car while parked and did minor damage to his fender.
he called the cops and got a report. the cop also suggested he get it fixed out of pocket if the repairs isnt that bad else his insurance would go up even if it wasnt his fault.
i told my friend that hit and run is covered under comprehensive and that insurance doesnt go up for a comprehensive claim.
he said it does because ny is a no-fault state.
