My baby has a mustache
« on: June 04, 2014, 02:31:21 PM »
My son's mom (we are not together, she is a great mom, we get along well) has easily spent $600 on toys for our son and he is only about 9 months old at this point. I cant help but laugh when I go to pick him up and I bring his favorite toy...he ignores all the other things that light up and make noises and spin to come play with an empty water bottle. It puts a huge smile on my face every time.

Hah. A friend of mine has an infant who really enjoys grabbing and crumpling newspapers. Yay for joy in simple things. :D

Hahaha. So true about the simple toys. Ours loved (and still love) large empty boxes. Its fun to see their creative sides come out when they get one.

Mine likes to shred paper.  Was only a problem when I found she put our roommates title in the shred box, lol.

My nephew loved a empty clean gallon milk jug with a few kernels of unpopped popcorn inside.  It was light weight to pick up and throw and made a lot of racket.

Yeah, ditto. We had to stop leaving the mail on the table where she could climb up and get to it. Unless it's junk mail, in which case have at!

My kids favorite thing right now is "helping" in the garden. I give them the hoe, rake, trowel whatever they can hold - then show them where they can dig since there's no seeds.

To them, the hoe is a pickaxe and they're miners. They keep "mining" the grass. It's cute and hilarious.

Haha, Goblins indeed!

My youngest started copying me weeding. This has led to frustration on occasion >.<

My toddler's favorite thing is dirt.  He especially likes (much to my dismay) to play in the area where the chickens do their dust baths.  Pulling weeds is fun too, but some things he pulls are not weeds.

You know how puppies and kittens love those cheap lasers?  Works for kids too!

I think I lost about 5 pounds by laughing, the day I figured that out.

That is amazing, I think I might have to get one this weekend.

I heard somewhere "The first time your kid eats a handful of dirt you call the doctor, the second time you wash their mouth out, the third time you wonder if you still have to feed them lunch"

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
