Everyday New Zealanders have pledged over $2 million to buy a pristine South Island beach and turn it over to public ownership for everyone to enjoy in perpetuity. For a country of only 4.5 million people that is a phenomenal amount of money to raise. This is what I love about being mustachain, it allows me to spend money where it matters.
The organisers are still asking for pledges as they know they will be up against stiff international competition to purchase the beach. For all of you who have, or plan to, enjoy the amazing scenery that New Zealand offers this is your chance to give a little back.
