It's my last day in the office!  I had my last hand-off meeting yesterday, today saying good-byes, final cleanup of the desk, turn in the laptop and then I'm out of here.

Thanks to all the information shared on this site.  I'm not as young (60) as many but still 5 years earlier than I could have guessed.  And more importantly, it allowed my wife to retire from a much much more stressful job 18 months ago at 58.

Enjoy FIRE, 5 years early is still great. Congrats!

Most people will never be able to retire comfortably, you've done awesome.

Hello everyone,  I'm much more of a lurker than a poster, but wanted to thank everyone for making this forum such a great resource and place to hang out online.   My last day will be Friday, May 3rd.😁

Happy Last Day!

After some consideration, I've decided to put off my last day and retire officially on Jan 1 2025. This is just to build up a bit more cash on hand for some work on the house I want to do over the next couple of years (most of my money is in retirement accounts right now). However, in effect my last day of actual work will probably be sometime in early to mid Dec, so it makes more sense to stay in this cohort.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
