Mustachian Borrow/Lend/Swap/Share Locally?
« on: February 11, 2014, 09:12:26 AM »
Hey folks, I'd be interested to know if we could achieve something like a share network in local geographic regions - at least.

For instance, we have a toddler car seat (i.e. age 2-5) that we don't want/need.  We could lend/swap with another Mustachian...perhaps they have a used bench vice that I need...

We would probably require something like a google docs sheet for any region that would be interested.  This sheet would be populated with items you have and would be willing to Borrow/Lend/Swap/Share.

Thoughts?

Resurrecting an old thread (sorry), but it seemed worthwhile. I'm also interested in swapping; mostly because I just have a lot of tools that are not getting any use, which is too bad. So, I signed up for neighborgoods; it looks like a site that will work for this purpose. Who you lend to is (of course) completely under your own control. Maybe some other Mustachians will join up.

Look for a yahoo group called freecycle in your area.  You can offer things and ask for things, but can't charge/pay for them.  Lots of things you can use via this group.

Sure neighborgoods is great.. if you want to travel to new york to borrow/share, since that's where all the current users are.
Doesn't even recognize my town when I try to enter it on registration...

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
