I am a former teacher who accumulated a bunch of real estate, retired at 29, spent some time traveling the world full time and am now settled with three kids.

Awesome thread! I'm an avid collector of such images, most of which I source from DamnLol (funny website, but not the most family-friendly material at times).

Here's a link to a slideshow of relevant images from my collection: http://s744.photobucket.com/user/kawabungaoz/slideshow/MMM

This is one of my favourites:

There are many Mustachian Zen Pencils, but this recent one particularly so: James Rhodes: Is that not worth exploring?

This is fantastic.  So much more than just passing judgment on those who are not living life to its fullest, it shows someone actually doing something about it.

Love it! "Frugaling" as a verb, going to have to use that.

Coworkers: "Aren't you eating out with us today"
Me: "No, I'm frugaling my lunch."

LOL

A comic contest of "I wish I learned this in school."  Most would lead to mustachianism (a couple are NSFW).

Oh, you're right, it's actually literally impossible to save money when you're poor and all non-poor people can't give good financial advice and lose all logic when thinking about money. I forgot, thanks for reminding me, I must of been thinking about money and lost all my logic.

Can we please keep this thread on topic? I'm sure most of us here follow it for the comics, not for bickering.

Is that what you took from that "comic"?  All I took from it was that they need to hire a better illustrator.

Commutes, shift work, a lack of natural light, sitting all day, constant baked goods temptation, manufactured urgency.... you mean the average office job is unhealthy? Nah ;)

Oh god, so true. Last winter I booked a trip to Hong Kong online from home with Delta. Sometime after that I was at work and wanted to look up something about the flight (layover time or something) so I put in all the information, but didn't book it since I was just checking something out. For the next several weeks, every ad that I saw was "Complete your booking with Delta!", and when I clicked on it for fun it had everything filled in for me and ready to book. These systems are brilliant.

Today's SMBC made fun of how bad work is, but the best part was the popup:
