Mr. Money Mustache, also known as Robert Kiyosaki, has been selling us a load of crap for years! According to Forbes Magazine, MMM is just one of more than a dozen fictional online personas that is part of Kyosaki's now-defunct financial advice empire, consolidated under Rich Global LLC. The very same LLC that recently filed for bankruptcy. I, for one, cannot in good conscience continue to participate in these fora, knowing full well that the terrible advice posted here will ultimately lead to the financial ruin of many readers. If anyone wants to continue this discussion, you can find me over at Yahoo Finance.

This genuinely saddens me. All of those family photos, presumably taken from stock photo websites. I wonder if we can track down the woman purported to be Mrs. MM; like the woman who became the "face of Obamacare", I'm sure she's regretting this.

That "Pete" character's mustache always seemed a bit overdone.

I was reluctant to believe the allegations in this post, but after a little independent research I learned it is all true. MMM deceived us into thinking that lowering our costs and saving more would help us avoid bankruptcy, but in reality it just speeds it up.

I will also be browsing Yahoo Finance looking for the best ways to get a car loan if anyone needs me...

I was SO confused by this post. SO confused. SOOO confused. I had the same concerns as others about the article (lack of reference to MMM, etc). I EVEN searched the web to see if this was some sort of well known farce that had completely evaded my detection...

Until I got to work.. And found similar shenanigans...

Funny thing about the GRS article...people will read the headline or the first few paragraphs then GO ARRR MAGOD! Then never make it to the sentence where it says april fools. For the most part it comes across as a serious article. A tleast with the MMM article anyone who's anyone know's he laughing the whole time writing it. MMM is still going to get emails and tweets saying ARRRMAGOD how could you! and he will probably enjoy that part even more than writing it (He's really just the ultimate troll).
