MMM Blog within Feedly;Newest Posts only?
« on: August 01, 2014, 09:30:38 PM »
Good Evening,
I recently stumbled upon this blog and have began reading from the very first article. Up to this point I have been reading via my browser, but I decided to dabble with feedly. I was able to pull up the MMM site very easily within feedly with one hiccup. It doesn't come close to loading all of the articles!

What gives, and how can I fix it? Do I have to try a different blog reader?

I appreciate any help yours can provide!!

RSS readers such as Feedly are not really meant to for reading older posts, but rather to keep track of when new things show up.

That said, I personally would use Google reader (back before it was cancelled) to keep track of what I had read or not from any new blog. So there definitely exists RSS readers which allow the behavior that you ask for. Can't tell you one by name unfortunately.

(I use Sparse RSS, but it has the same problem as feedly and only shows the latest 10 posts when I add a new blog. That one also only works on the phone and doesn't sync to anything on the computer, so is only useful if that is ok for you.)

NewsBlur lets you read old posts. I'm not completely satisfied with it but it does the job.

I appreciate the input! I installed newsblur and will give it a shot! I noticed it only goes back to July of 2011 so I'll have to read another month on the website. I can't wait to be caught up one day so that I can move on to feedly or some of the alternatives!
