It seems to me, just being able to stay alive and live for the next day, we can participate in all that our modern era offers. From cell phones, hot water, roads, etc.
Even though we individually have nothing to do with the creation of a technology we can enjoy its benefit.
So part of realizing and enjoying all this is merely (and I don't mean that lightly) to be around for the next day.
