Indeed.com is a great site.  A previous HR person recommended it to me.  It's a "meta" site.  It goes out and gathers the posts from other job hunting sites and company sites, so you don't have to go to them individually. 

Glassdoor.com can provide some insight into a company.  People can post info, salaries, interview experiences about companies.  Just take the comments with a grain of salt as with all internet sites.  However, since it's based on user input, some companies won't have a lot of info.

It depends what field you are in. There are boards for each field you can look up, and ask people directly. You can also say your field here.
