Jerry Seinfeld-all things are garbage
« on: January 24, 2015, 07:31:11 AM »
Just saw a video of a Jerry Seinfeld routine that really hit home for me.   I think his description of possessions might be of interest to Mustachians.    The idea that when we purchase things, we're really just purchasing garbage may sound a bit extreme to some, but to me, there seems to be a good amount of truth to it.   The first minute and a half or so is him mostly talking to the audience about the free tv I think they all got, so you might want to skip in a minute and a half or so.

"All things on earth only exist in different stages of becoming garbage. Your home is a garbage processing center where you buy new things, bring them into your house and slowly crappify them over time.... Everything is thrown out in the end,....We are thrown out in the end, my friends."

What do you think?   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HfYzlSNHapA

I have seen this before and he has a good point.  So funny.  Yes, Carlin is hysterical.  I think he was called stuff or something like that.  Worth a watch.

I also immediately thought of Carlin on reading the OP.

Looking forward to watching Seinfeld's take on it later today.
