Thanks!  I have a weird balance between chasing FI and taking care of these things.  I would LOOOOOOOVE to chase down all of these issues and see all of the specialists, and do all of the therapy.... but I am on the lower-income level, so any "extra" stuff like doctors visits, etc. pulls away pretty much all of my monthly savings.
It's a challenge to balance having a good life later through FI, or having a good life now, through health.  :/

It's a difficult choice that I can relate to, up to a certain level at least. Health care isn't as expensive as it is in the US so I'm very fortunate in that sense. I suffer from chronic illness / fatigue and no matter how much I want to FIRE, I believe health is more important. FIRE is useless when you can't do anything because you're ill. I have made the choice to reduce the hours I work every week to improve the quality of my current and future life. It hasn't been an easy choice, but to me it's definitely worth it.

I second the comment about iron levels. I tried to donate blood and was turned away so I started taking chelated iron. My nurse practitioner put me onto it since it is apparently more easily absorbed and doesn't cause constipation like normal iron supplements. I noticed a pretty big difference in energy level in about a week. Just in time to get pregnant and get fatigued from that!
Good luck! I too am someone who really need a lot of sleep and just have to accommodate that need. I always go to bed early. Screw night parties or looking lame to other people. I have to deal with the consequences.

Have you had your iron and ferritin levels checked?

Not recently, I'll definitely ask to have these checked if I do go to the doc, thanks

The suggestion about looking into allergies is a good one. I'd also consider getting your B12 blood levels tested.

I've been feeling a LOT better since I addressed b12, ferritin (not just iron but ferritin), and food allergies.
