There's actually a negative correlation here.  Every GenXer knows iPhones are free* to buy and mom & dad pay the monthly bill, so iPhone 6 sales only serve to make GenXer's parents poorer and thus GenXers themselves relatively more wealthy.

*With activation of a new 2-year contract

Huh? I'm 48, Mom stopped paying for my stuff about 30 years ago.... ;-)  Generation X is creeping up on AARP membership.

Now as for my kids, that certainly was the case a few years ago....
