Title: How to insert a link properly

What is the proper way to insert a link, i.e. behind text, nice and neat, I hate how insert links works here, too messy.

I tried searching but nothing

I had a link in my profile explaining it's but it's broken

This appears to work, if you put the URL itself inside the tag...

The above is correct.

In the future, simple machines has a wiki for all of the forum codes you can google. Also, it's basically based on bbcode.
