Hi Mustachians,

The family [US citizens] will be returning to the US later this year (circa August)  after a long time overseas. The awesome employer health insurance will unfortunately cease before they arrive in USA. How do they best go about getting health insurance? Do we need to get some kind of interim travel-type cover and then sort it out once in US?

Also, very little of our household income was exposed to US taxes. Does rental income count as MAGI for ACA coverage/subsidy and for ACA vs Medicaid cutoff? Conversion of tIRA -> Roth to 'manufacture' income?

Hope I can get some good advice from the community.
