We budget $100 a month to spend on 18 people and food, just parents, kids, grand kids and small gifts for anyone that I find out will be here on Christmas day. I hate shopping and get super stressed over the holidays. Tried gift cards for the kids one year when we went out of town and they hated it, lol.
I read somewhere recently, a suggested amount was no more than 1.5% of your annual income. I may aim for that and see how I do.
