In reference to the above reply.  Does anyone drive for Uber?  I signed up for an account and never used it.  I only work 3 days a week so I could definitely make money on my off days possibly.  However, I wasn't sure exactly what the pay rates were?   Is it worth the wear and tear on the vehicle and the gasoline?  It the compensation is good enough I'd be interested.

I just sold my fun car (MR2 Spyder) leaving just the Volt. I'm working on a Master's degree and working full time, so it feels good to simplify things outside of those two domains.

Going to hit the bank this morning, then buy some mutual funds!

Two adults, no kids, and two dogs. We have one vehicle, a 2007 Honda Element. I love love love it, even though it isn't the most efficient. We don't do a lot of driving anyway, but it's kept us from having to rent a truck through several moves and saved us delivery fees when buying furniture. Plus, our model has rubber flooring and is an absolute dream for hauling dirty dogs and such.

2 cars kind of for 1 person.  One is my work vehicle which can only be used for work purposes.  1 is my car that I use on the weekends mostly.

Just bought a new car!  Silver 2009 Hyundai Accent hatchback for $1000.  250,000 highway miles, well-maintained, and with a bypassed heater core (will be fixing that soon).

Our only car for our household of two.
