How long to get a Treasury Direct account number?

My wife created her Treasury Direct account on Sunday and never received her account number by email.  How long does this typically take?  I would think it’s automatic, but evidently not.

It was automatic for me when I signed up in April

You should get the account number pretty much immediately.

Even if they require further verification of your identity by requiring you to send in a medallion signature from your bank (which happened to my spouse) -- we still got the account number right away via email, even before we sent in the medallion signature.

If you didn't get it right away, maybe you put in your email address wrong? Or it got filtered to a spam folder?

Evidently there was a system problem over the weekend and no account numbers were being sent out.
