Do you perform the oil changes for your vehicle(s)?

Yes, without exception; no doubt it is worth it.

Occasionally, but not always; I struggle with whether it's worth it.

No, I'd rather pay to avoid the hassle.

My wife suckered me into bringing her car to the dealership for an oil change once. She received lifetime changes as part of the purchase, and with 140k on the clock, is making use of that gimmick. Anyway, even though no money was spent, that was the first and last time for me. In the time it took to wait for the service, I could have done both of our cars, and enjoyed a beer in the process (I imagine they'd frown upon popping a top in the waiting room).

Of course I perform all my own service, and even buy fixer-uppers to save money. When I come across something I don't know how to do, I learn (sometimes I don't get it right, and that stinks, but it's part of learning). I have a nice garage stocked with tools and heat, since cars and bikes have been a lifetime hobby of mine. For someone who just isn't inclined to do this kind of work, and may not have a decent place to do it, I don't judge. But for me, it's part of the ownership experience. Oh, and the wife still has the dealer change her oil - she can work it into her schedule just fine.

I change my own oil.  I save about $30 vs a quick-lube place which is nice, but the main reason I do it myself is because I don't trust the idiots at the quick-lube place to do it properly.  I'd rather have the piece of mind knowing its done right.

Only 2 times I've ever paid for an oil change: 1) When its -20C, I don't have a garage and it's just too cold to do it outside, and 2) when the filter is stuck on and I cant get it off.
