Health Insurance and Retirement
« on: July 12, 2015, 04:42:45 AM »
I'm 44 year old science teacher.  My wife is a 40 year old software engineer.   We have a 3 and 5 year old.  If we stick to our plan and retire in 10 years, how should we handle health insurance?  Thanks.

I presume neither of you will have reached your employers' retirement ages such that you can continue the coverage you have?  In that case, assuming the ACA still exists in something like its current form, a subsidized exchange policy will probably be the way to go.  I'm also assuming you're American, given that you're asking this question at all.
