I just watched it, thanks for the recommendation! Really enjoyed it, and for me really brought back memories.
During the dot com crash I had a german car worth my yearly salary (before taxes!!!) and ended up in debt, out of work, moving back in with my parents and eventually getting a family hookup for a $6.50/hr truck driver/warehouse labor job before working my way back into my chosen career. Basically the exact scenario from the movie.
When I tell my old man stories I always without romanticizing it say that was one of the best lessons I ever learned in life and it made me who I am today. Both important points were made in the movie about the morality of business and the responsibility for work and personal finances. Both I think equally important in our world, but both seem to be mistakes we (collectively) seem to keep making over and over again.
