Title: Getting out of my lease
Post by: mindaugas on October 25, 2016, 01:31:17 PM
I have a 2015 Odyssey with $27k payoff with 19 more payments on the lease ($7800). KBB gave an instant cash offer of $24k. So we're roughly $3k upside down. My wife and I have come to the decision that even if we have $18k cash in 19 months, we wouldn't buy it. We'd like to get rid of the $400/mo lease payment and finance something at $10k or less. That would cut the payment in half, we could pay the $10k off in a year or less. There are plenty of minivans for less than $10k. We need it to so we have to replace it with another minivan. I called Honda Financial and they told me no fees for trading in/selling.

Does anyone have experience with this. Either trading in a lease or using this KBB instant cash offer stuff? Is it as normal as trading in any other car?
